Children’s Discovery Center takes great pride in hiring, training, and retaining the best teachers.
Step 1: Initial Interview
Applicants discuss their resume and completed application with the center administrator, who will ask questions related to past educational and work experiences, as well as educational philosophy.
Step 2: Second Interview
Those selected will complete a second interview in the classroom, which will involve observing and participating in the teaching experience.
These formal group sessions are conducted at the corporate office in Maumee. Once the orientation is completed, diploma is on file, and fingerprints have been taken, the new employee may begin work.
All substitutes go through the same interview and orientation process, as described above. However, we interview for substitutes on a continuous basis throughout the year.
